Hi!
My name is Alexey Novikov.

I am a professional artist and designer.

I was born in Ukraine, in a city on the Black Sea coast, in Odesa. Since early childhood, I loved to draw. I studied at the Children's art school for five years, then for another four years, I studied various techniques of fine arts at the Grekov Odessa Art School.
My specialty is “artist-designer”. The main areas of my profession are graphic design, logo creation, corporate identity, and industrial design. I have experience of working in this sphere for more than twenty-five years (my portfolio). But this does not allow me to fully express myself as an artist and creates restrictions on time and freedom, which is an integral part of any creative person.
Therefore, in my free time, I also create my own artworks, and develop my own style. It inspires me a lot and opens up some new horizons!

My favorite technique is graphic drawing with dots in the style of Pointillism or Dotwork (tattoo technique). This is a very painstaking and laborious process. Usually, I spend about a month of my free time on each graphic composition and it consists of a thousand or millions of dots; but this work excites me and brings so much pleasure. For me, as a thinker, it has a special meaning: it is sort of a meditation, a time when I am in harmony with myself.

Besides drawing and designing, I’m interested in photography and writing poetry. A childhood passion for entomology (collecting different kinds of insects and studying them) left a strong mark on me and this can be seen in my work. In addition, curiosity and exploration also enhance my love of travel. New countries and beautiful places captivate me and inspire me to create new works.
